@AmakawaLazy I don't know what to tell you. This is definitely by design, even if the design seems poor, and is unlikely to change. We're not supposed to be able to download Steam-owned packs into an EA App-installed base game; it only works the other way around. The Epic tie-in has been unreliable since the beginning. I personally use only the EA App, much as I dislike it, because one problematic app to deal with is better than two and much better than three.
@puzzlezaddict Indeed, focusing on one platform is an optimal choice. But when buying something, I need to check if there are discounts on different platforms and take advantage of the discounts to buy the desired games. As long as this set of multi platform DLCs can support the logic of playing "The Sims 5" or other "The Sims like" games, it's enough. I don't expect too much.
