Vampire home invasion makes me feel powerless

I'm highly concerned and disgusted by The Sims 4 Vampires' ability to enter another Sims' home in the middle of the night, wake them from sleep, hypnotize them and perform life-altering actions without the Sims' or the game player's consent. I've never had an emotional reaction to a Sims scenario in this way, never felt so powerless. Why were the limited actions I could perform on behalf of my attacked Sims futile? Why is it OK to turn another Sim into a vampire without consent?

WITHOUT CONSENT.

It plays out like a home invasion with raping. It's so disturbing and I've never, ever been so disappointed with The Sims. I've been a dedicated player since the first game launched and this is the first time I've felt discouraged from opening my favorite game, my most beloved pastime and my escape from the disappointments of the real world.

  • There are several mods that address vampirism. However I always just use the cheat codes to stop it. When a vampire is coming to the house, locking the door doesn’t always work. I’ve had a vampire affect a person from the other side of the wall. Here is what I do. I turn on cheats by hitting control-c and type - testingcheats on - in the white rectangle at the top. (Must be done after each loading screen) Then when the vamp is coming shift click on them and choose reset sim. They stop... at least for now. Things change in this game...

  • I thought that was the point of hanging up garlic, though some vamps are immune.

Players including me want and need this for storytellings, so why the game should just get rid of it just because someone like you don'r feel comfortable?? so strange, you can just solve it either way you want. EA, please stop taking content from the game just following absurd complaint

Very simple solution - click on your sim's front door and select from the menu there. It lets you decide who comes into the house.
