So far there are at least 3 activity tables my sims cannot use: the fabricator, Chemistry Lab & the Robotics Workstation. Im able to select the tables & trigger actions, but my sim will briefly receive the action then it goes away. Ive tried resetting every sim & every item, but not sure what else i could do.
No mods, ever.
@SammieForever88 Hi! Sorry you're having trouble with this. Were your sims able to use them before or did you just recently place them? Also, perhaps you could check to see if there's anything blocking the path. Check any overhead lights as well, since some low-hanging lights can block paths.

I’ve been playing the household for a while now & eventually bought & placed the activity tables at different points in my gameplay. Fabricator first, then i earned the chemistry table via work promotion, shortly after i bought the robotics station - all are placed together in the basement. I tried moving the fabricator to ground level since I’ve been having other glitches happening regarding the basement, but the same result happens.
Nothing visible is path blocking the sims to the tables, i only have 2 wall hanging lights in the room & the stairs & doors are clear. I did recently get bust the dust kit & now have many dust piles all about tho. My sims can still path find to the tables. Half of the time they’re walking to the tables to do the action, start doing it, then stop. The other half of the time they don’t go to it at all & the actions go through to the sim & then just disappear once they get to it (the sim never does the “i can’t do it” shrug action).
@SammieForever88 Thanks for the extra info! I added those three tables to a test save and my sim has no trouble with them. He was able to fabricate an eco upgrade part on the fabricator and was able to tinker at both the robotics station and the chemistry lab table. Would you mind listing some of the actions have you tried for each table?
Also, please test using the tables at other lots. Try having your sim use a Robotics Station at Larry's Lagoon in Britechester, a fabricator at The Waterfront lot in Evergreen Harbor, and the Chemistry table at the Science Lab at work. Are they also not able to use these or just the ones at their home lot?

So i don’t seem to be having the issue anymore at all. Nothing changed, same lot, same save, same placement, all the tables seem to just be working normally now. If i have this issue again I’ll share it here.
