what supernaturals are in sims 4

I have several of the expansions and some of the packs, and find the information pages don't really help.  So, can anyone answer for me, what packs and expansions have supernaturals?  are there fairies, and are there other types that have appeared in previous sims?  I don't know why I have to ask pre-sales questions to a group instead of the sales team but it is what it wants to be.

Just wondering is there any supernatural sims stuff in pets (or cats and dogs)?

These are, to the best of my knowledge, the 'Supernatural' offerings so far in Sims 4:

    • Sorry, no fairies, werewolves, or witches so far
    • There are ghosts and various interactions with them in the base-game
    • "Get To Work" adds aliens (plus you can be abducted and taken to the hidden world of Sixam)
    • "Vampires" adds vampires (and a bunch of gothic/goth/Victorian stuff with that)
    • "Realm of Magic" adds spellcasters - or maybe I should say it allows sims to become spellcasters (Plus a hidden world, the Realm of Magic). Magic, wizardry, secret portals, flying on broomsticks, duals with wands, potion making, and more
    • I am not aware of any supernatural elements added in pets (Cats & Dogs)
    • There is a a 'Santa' (Clement Frost), an 'Easter Bunny' ('Flower Bunny'), and Patchy the Scarecrow (not a 'real' sim like Clement and the 'Flower Bunny', but he lives on a branch in the yard and comes to lift to help with the garden and interact with the household, and does have a 'trait', which can vary... hmmm....). These all come with seasons - along with some crazy gnome stuff that goes on with holidays - but this is likely not what you are referring to.

There are some costume items that are full body or just a hat.

I know that number of the folks have requested a 'Supernaturals' pack for Sims 4, hoping that it would include fairies and other elements from previous Sims games, but some elements have been added (as listed above) so far in various packs.

    Hope this helps some.

  • ok, good.  I was hoping I wasn't missing anything by not getting pets (never cared for how they interacted in previous sims.  I have all the other expansions and already have several packs, just looking into what packs I want next.

    Thanks for all the help

@CaptainSarpek, in addition to the list that @SheriGR gave you, we do have PlantSims but those came with a patch to the base game.  I realize you probably are already aware of that, but in case someone who hasn't bought the base game yet wants to know , I thought I'd add that information. 😇

There are also Mermaids with the Island Living expansion pack! ❤️

Also, there is a small thing with Cats & Dogs that is supernatural if you have Realm of Magic.  Having both these packs allows you to turn your cat or dog into a familiar that can follow you around, sparkel, and protect you from death!  But that is the only supernatural thing in the Cats & Dogs pack, and its only if you have ROM as well. 😉

Finally, Spellcasters are basically Witches/Wizards/Warklocks. They can use wands (but don't have to) or ride brooms (but don't have to) and they can brew potions in a cauldron.  The only thing they don't have is a pointy hat wtih a brim, but if you have the Spooky Stuff stuff pack, you can use the hat from that pack and put it on your Spellcaster. 😉

  • @PugLove888 thank you, but I'm not adding cats and dogs and I have all the other expansions.
There is a mod to make fairy's and other missing items, but no cats and dogs. Sorry Maxis.

@PugLove888 Thanks for bringing up the Mermaids! I can't believe I for got to mention them! I kept thinking I missed someone. I was wondering about that in regards to 'witches'. Yes, they obviously have many of the 'classic features', but I wasn't sure if they actually called them witches? Anyway, thanks! I almost tagged you in the post because I now you are very familiar with the old 'Supernaturals' pack.

Thanks for the additional info! 🙌

@CaptainSarpek  Island living also has the 'Island Spirits' thing, which is also rather supernatural.
