Why were sims with loyal traits unfaithful?

Hello! I have been playing Sims 4 for 6 days. I never played the first 3 episodes. I created 2 sims with loyal traits and gave them a soulmate life goal. During the game, they were both unfaithful, and because of this, they felt bad and had to confess their infidelity. Is it because they had friendly interactions with other sims or is it a random thing in the game? They only had romantic interactions with each other, not with other Sims. Thank you in advance for the answer!

  • @laserline80It's the loyal trait that is the culprit. The trait makes your sims act like red flagged and controlling humans. Your sim gets guilty if it just talks to others while in a flirty mode, they get the feeling they have *cheated* if some other sims flirt with them. The whole trait is a mess. I would not recommend using this trait unless to mess with your sims on purpose. Oh, and don't let your sims near a hot tub if they have this trait. Just sayin'.

  • @gooochyeee I understand. I won't do those. The sim's daughter needs 1 career in which she reaches maximum advancement, and her granddaughter needs 3 careers in which she reaches level 3 (renaissance sim).

@laserline80 Whenever I start a new hood and move in a new sim intended for playing, I way too often chose the Culinary career, because it gives my sim a really god and solid start. I don't like to use cheats, other than for needs and occasionally to get a some cool new digs.
All base-game careers are pretty much stable and safe. More recent additions, not so much. Especially the ones we got with Get to Work and the Freelance careers are fun, but often a big hit or miss.

@laserline80The bugged ones are mostly form new paid content where they forgot to add them like the salary person (snowy escape) and the Univeristy ones (law, engernier education) alll the basegame ones are fine (the active and feeelance careers are also pretty likely to not work)

  • @gooochyeee I prefer passive jobs. I started the game on June 23rd, but I'm already at generation 4 because I have quite a lot of free time. I'm going to change the neighbor influencing life goal to something easier.
  • I used the cas.fulleditmode cheat because my teenage girl sim had a male voice. I think that I will do the culinary career first, then the painter and the tech guru career (although the latter two has several sectors).

  • I still don't fully understand this game. I disabled autonomy, neighborhood stories a long time ago and deleted the loyal trait (because it's buggy). I have a household where the grandparents, parents and children live. That being said, sometimes grandparents and parents get jealous because the other one flirted with another sim or cheated on him/her, even though I didn't do anything like that with them.
