@natsnorigin Interesting predictions. Though I agree with @RandomBuzziness. I think that we probably have at least 2 more years of Sims 4.
That said, I think we are going to get another vacation type world as a game pack. Probably a mountain type world. And I think we are going to get some of the iconic characters from earlier versions of the game in some kind of pack though I really hope it is an expansion pack rather than a game or stuff pack just to have another bigger world with 4 or 5 zones. I think this because of the recent survey and what I think I read between the lines from the questions asked, so to speak. I really hope the devs will publish the results of that survey as I am curious to know what came out on top. I also think we're going to get some type of rural world since that seems to be the other major gameplay from the earlier versions that hasn't been seen yet. And finally, probably as the very last thing we get before Sims 4 ends, be it this year or next year, is I think we will get some type of CAW. Both 2 and 3 had them.
As you said, most of the packs we have gotten thus far are things we have seen in earlier versions with a different twist and work a little bit differently. I'm hoping we're going to get something totally new that hasn't been done before but fits into the traditional way the game plays. I think Strangerville was maybe some type of test in a way to see if the mother plant quest would be accepted by the sims community since that type of thing had never been done in the game before, at least not in 2 anyway. Same can be said about the conservation cleanup quest in IL. I have no idea what that something new would be though but I do hope that it would be something other than a quest type thing.
You seem to want cars just like a lot of others. While they were included in both 2 and 3 and I played them in 2 but not 3, I found them pretty much useless because the Sims has never been an open world game where you could actually go for a drive like in GTA and other games. In 2, the only thing you could actually do with them was back out of the driveway and then either disappear when a sim went to work or get a travel screen and go to a venue and when you got there the car traveled to the middle of the lot and parked on the street. You could make out and woohoo in them and that was pretty much it. So in my opinion, they were really no more than a big deco object as far as gameplay was concerned. Nice to have as props in a story but not very useful otherwise. I also found that most of the cc cars I had were pretty much all high poly and really had a negative impact on graphics performance and were the source of many of my crashes so I simply stopped using them. I would rather see more actual game play things added to give our sims more to do rather than giving us cars. And like @RandomBuzziness says, some of the worlds we have now have no roads so they wouldn't work there at all.
Otherwise though, a Generations type pack would be great since there is not a lot to do with toddlers, children and elders. More gameplay options there are really needed. But since this thread is about predictions, I won't go into my "wish list" as much as would like to here. Thanks for starting the thread though. I'm interested in seeing what others think may be coming our way.
