I see. Thank you.
The Sims 2 personalities helped sims to build some skills faster. For example: Serious sims build Logic skill faster while Playful sims build Creativity skill faster. Culinary career requires both Logic and Creativity skills, thus this guide marks it as "Serious or Playful".
In a sense, this has made past The Sims 2.
The Sims 3 had a lot of traits that helped in skill building. There even was traits that helped with the career performance. And then there was Supernatural Skeptic, which helped with Business, Political, Law Enforcement, and Journalism careers.
The Sims 4 traits are more helping your sims get into the right emotion to build certain skills faster. There are few new ones that help with skill building too, like Nosy sims build Photography and Writing skills faster (making them good Writers for example).
So, in a sense it's just some small feature in a guide that you can easily find trait alternatives for in the future games.

In the case of TS4, I would imagine a Socially Awkward sim will struggle with the Politician career, the mood and the performances could be less good than for an Outgoing sim even if this sim has the skills.
Same idea with Lazy sims and Athletic and Military careers.

I understand you. It is an interesting idea after all.
But what I wanted to say is that in The Sims 2, personality didn't affect the career performance at all (mood did that). What extreme personality did however is boost the skill gain in certain skills, so the the personalities brought out helps to gain skills required for the promotion faster.
Of course Nice personality has career affinity with every career because it's easier for them to make friends...So yeah, what I meant then that the indirect affect on career success from traits is in the future games too. Socially Awkward sims will fail often, making securing votes harder, while Lazy sims need more and longer breaks from exercising, making building fitness skill harder.

Career Affinity isn't really a "feature" in TS2 so I removed it from the list.
