- Yea you need to change all the lots. I hope once you have achieved industrial status the bar didn’t drop back to neutral again rapidly like in my case ...,
- im having trouble getting it to stay polluted too. the idea was to have a family trying to clean up the environment and to have this other sim work on making it trashy. but its easier to remove the pollution then to add it.
- In aditional to the above mentioned changes, I cheated every single lot to industrial footprint (I was impatient :) ). Since about an hour, it stays industrial. There was a little bit green footprint increase, but than it stopped quickly. Perhaps this works for others too.

Short answer:
Try living in the Old Salt House, San Myshuno.
Longer version:
I am a clean and green kinda person, and got gobsmacked with the industrial footprint upon updating and adding the EP.
My sim HAD an artist/music haven in the Old Salt House. I can not get the industrial footprint down.
She now lives to cough and complain about the industry being in full bloom.
There are NO neighbors.
She does almost everything outside, her lights are seldom on.
Even though my growfruit tree is still struggling to survive, it did wipe out the money tree.
But-t-t,
She also owns a fully upgraded rocketship and flush toilets. ~laughs~
So, yeah, it has to be the bathrooms and the rocketship, as everything else is/should be enviroment friendly.
Good luck &
~happy simming~- I wonder if passing some of the more negative NAPS like that brawling one makes the footprint change at all. There are a couple that I can see could go that way.

Look like a balancing issue with the footprint score.- So I played conifer station and took the time to change all walls papers floor of all houses to industrial heavy. Within a week I got to full industrial status. Immediately after that the industrial bar dropped instantly to just 20% and the arrow is aggressively moving green. Definitely a bug. it is not possible to stay in industrial status for longer then a few days.
- Interestingly when the bar dropped to neutral it did not revert my hood status back to neutral ! Instead It stays industrial and the arrow is now heading back to industry. It is weird. But I am happy I can stay industrial for a while now it seems !
- crocobauraSeasoned AceI think you also need to not have sims in the neighbourhood recycle or use the sustainable lifestyle options like eco energy and water supply. I had a sim do nothing but dumpster dive and recycle in Port Promise and it's eco foot print it neutral now.
- Having now stayed in industrial state for several sims weeks I am starting to think I have been reading the eco footprint bar wrong. I assume they this whole bar represent the whole spectrum of the footprint. On the left you are fully green in the middle neutral and on the right you have industrial. Now I think the circle in the middle moves up and down the scale! If the arrow is pointing right then the circle move to the right and when it hits full industrial, the brown bar disappears and you are now in the new state where the left is neutral, the middle is industrial and the right is even more industrial.
