My sims seem to be obsessed with the basketball hoop. A couple being extremely flirty might suddenly separate because one of them are running outside to play basketball. No matter what they do the basketball hoop always seem to win their interest.I know I can simply delete the object, just wanted to check if there is anything I can do to reduce this. If you use MCCC you could just disable it as an autonomous option entirely with the MC Tuner features. That's what I generally do with things which sims are entirely too obsessed with. I haven't seen very many mods which just reduces the autonomous attraction of things, usually they just turn it off completely, making those mods superfluous if you use MCCC. There are quite a few things where I don't want it off, just not quite as desirable as the default game tuning, but I almost always have to make my own tuning mod for it..just not many such options out there.I totally agree about pool covers, btw...I just said that in another thread a couple days ago.

I don't think it would be too hard to program into "Base Game". Basically it would be switching a pool on or off.

I've noticed the basketball hoop in particular interrupting other actions, especially painting.The best solution I know of is to queue up some other action. Then the basketball hoop can't queue up, since an autonomous action won't queue if there are already player-chosen actions waiting in the queue.For swimming pools I run a fence around the pool in winter and remove it on the first warm day in spring. You can also leave a year-round fence up with a gate, and just unlock the gate during warm seasons.

Pool covers would be a really nice addition to the game. I know the Toddlers never, so far, wander over to a pool, but the fear remains, even so. In RL there are the motor-driven covers that allows for an easy on, easy off covering. I think you may even be able to walk on those, but I could be mistaken. I haven't had a pool in almost fifteen years.

I'm a little jealous lol. I wish my Sims played basketball. I built a beautiful court at the gym in Willow Creek and no one ever used it they all just wanted to run on the treadmill. Same with the climbing machine. Does your Sim have the active trait or likes fitness checked?

I definitely think traits matter a lot. I have a court and playground in the back of the village grocery store and one of the employees for that store is ALWAYS playing basketball, even when she should be working. Meanwhile, I've never seen any other Sim play on it yet.
I don't know what her traits are though, haven't had any played Sims get to know her.

It's funny what employees get up to if there are resources on the lot. I caught one of my shopkeepers getting foot massages once. ?
