Brindleton Bay no sidewalks for empty lots?

I want to use Brindleton Bay, but the empty lots have no streets, and they are strange.

Where do your families live? Do you like those lots anyway?

  • I actually kind of like how there aren't as many streets, it adds to the "rural" feeling of the town. I like to have my outdoorsy sims live in BB, and they go hiking and fishing frequently. I personally love the lot right next to the bridge that you can walk under - so cool!
  • I don’t care for those lots. Having lots that aren’t connected to any road at all is... weird. Do they think that's actually a thing? I get there’s no cars, but a residential home that is only accessible via foot travel is not something you find in rural American towns. A decorative cul de sac wouldn’t have hurt.

Agreed. In rural places especially near at my province, walking is the only way to go to a house. No roads in which you are more connected to nature. I liked this layout to be honest. Especially in other areas like in Windenburg.
  • I love the Elite bar lounge (the one that says Mayor Whiskers decree on it's info) in the Cats district. Since I basically adopted Mayor Whiskers, I used the lot to build my own private Mansion. :D

I don't like the Cavalier Cove though. Since it has these 'dark, swampy, witches' vibes to it. I don't like the Main district either, because the pet statue is a lot more trouble than it's worth (if they get up there, took 1 hour to get back down).

It makes sense in WB, and would make sense if there was a witch shack somewhere out in a swamp area. I don't have the world so I haven't seen how this is all setup, but yes, WB is a good idea, I'm not sure a New England town like Maine, has marsh lands, does it? That isn't my recollection of such a place.
  • I haven't built anything there yet mainly because of that. The lots seems perfect for a witch cottage or similar though.
  • I've built an abandoned house (20X15 lot) that would be perfect for that lot. It still got the stove and fridge but only a couch (no bed). I plan to do a homeless Sim who'll have to fish in the nearby pond to survive.

    Maybe something you could try?
  • For those two weird little lots in Brindleton Bay, I could only see myself using them as a national park. Especially since one has a fishing spot that sims are always walking to, and that pull-through driveway that reminds me of trailhead parking in a state park. So I plan to turn that lot into a campground for my sims to use. And the one by the waterfall and river, I'll build a little giftshop cafe, or possibly a rustic restaurant.

But right, they're completely unusable for most lot types or ideas.
  • I like how this world is a little different. No street access might indicate that we won't get cars, though.

Have not built on any vacant lots yet, and my test family lived in a small house at Cavalier Cove, the one right up from the beach. I love that house, will definitely move in someone :)

I don't know about Maine, But Massachusetts and especially Rhode Island, my neighborhood is woodland, then Marshland.

I think if your house is on a main road there are side walks, now that I think about it, a lot of backroads I know don't have side walks.
    Providence that is the case.

I agree I would love a cul de sac kind of a neighborhood, my hope would be it's a middle-upperclass 30x40 or bigger lots, and that it's woodland and lake side
