Child Living Alone
I tried to find any threads that already covered this topic, but did not find much.
After some trial and error, I am doing a fairly good job of handling the issues that arise when a child lives alone.
I was able to download a finished treehouse from the gallery and also have a sleeping bag in my inventory. For trash I had to keep repurchasing a new trash when adults knocked it over, but now I am trying a dumpster. For the bathroom, I used the camping bathroom and so far it does not need to be repaired. For food, I have a cooler and the selling table from Jungle adventures.
She has an inventory of a journal, soccer ball, a bike, a yarny toy and a knitting basket, a yoga mat and a meditation stool.
I started the child with an adult and had the adult read to her for 2 hours, before deleting him, so she could finish the rest of that aspiration. I finished all the aspirations except the slumber party, which appears to repeatedly need an adult.
I learned to hire a caterer at a community kitchen and store all the food in the fridge until it is finished and then take some of it home to store in the Jungle Adventures table. I can also store a pizza and delivery for a few days in the table. I can bag food from the festivals and that lasts about a day in the table. I finally figured out that I can use a microwave. The university has some good food available when there is no keg in the dining hall.
If I make sure the lot is offgrid and keep the inventory and cash low enough, there are no bills. I could not get the no bills cheat to work.
She can garden after she got her mental skills up. I think it needed to be a 5. I bought a scarecrow to kill the bugs. Even after befriending the birds, I do not see the option to have them help garden. The birds can eat the bugs? The rabbits have such a short lifespan it is not worth befriending them for gardening help.
I did not see an option to hire a maid or butler.
Fishing is a good activity. I need to explore knitting and violin to make money. There is a youtube video online of a child uploading reviews to make money. I have seen a toddler collect seashells.
I am waiting to explore the drama club and fame for a child alone.
If I age down a teen werewolf, it is a dormant wolf child and she can use the underground bunker below the bar. If I set the full moon to every 4 days, she can swim after 8 o'clock and get full energy on those nights, which lets me get caught up. Those were helpful discoveries.
I am interested in hearing anyone else's experiences with a child that lives alone.
