Honestly if it wasn't for mods, I would have stopped playing already... I actually regret paying for the game, I'd better pay modders on patreon.
agreed B)
if not for the huge amount of brilliant game play mods,I would of gave up with this series.
it was bad enough with get famous with its lack of new careers and tiny boring world but now island living that to me is clearly a GP
I have been saying this for the last 5 years these expansion packs with the sims 4 are getting smaller each year
there improving the base game and neglecting the expansion packs, that do cost us money.
I am sorry to break it to you, but if you found Get Famous lackicking, it has primary to do with your lack of imagination and creativity. The expansion was pretty in depth. In fact it has more replay value then City Living, a long standing fan favorite.
I hate to break it to you, that's a matter of opinion and as for imagination and creativity, at least they could of included more features to do just that
small 11 lot world
acting
fame
isn't in fact in depth, ACTING, perks is, not the rest of the pack.
get famous is nothing more than a gloried game pack much like island living. bigger than that yes, however it as the smallest number of new careers ever in a fame pack.
by all means Agree to disagree
happy simming
Gameworld lots in general contribute very little to gameplay, good example is Outdoors Retreat, it has lots but close to zero gameplay. Fame system has two distinct ways how to play it, positive and negative reputation. The quirks assigned to a sim, make players actions feel impactful. Fame itself can be gained thru almost all gameplay activities, so replaying acting career is unnecessary, which is might I add, very well made. Online Entertainment Personality experience is recreated extremely well. You could argue that they could have done something about singing/music in general, but what is there is in depth. If compared to sims 3 expansion Late Night, one runs out of things to do 5-6 hours in (or at least it is how long it took me), because half of the features that were introduced were not functioning properly and fame system itself was flat out bad. When it comes to expansions in sims 4, Get Famous offers more gameplay than City Living hands down. And yes, if you find you have nothing to do in game with this expansion, it is lack of imagination and creativity, or you do not like diva gameplay in general. Even if comparing Get Famous to existing gamepacks, like the better ones Parthood and Vampires, it still offers more gameplay. For all the in depth system of Vampire skill tree, there is only so much you could do with this life state. Parthood was great and offered a great system to families, but it does not offer that much gameplay in comparison, all it takes is having more than three kids in the household, than one recycles quickly thru the perks.
I am all for genuine critique when it is needed, like Island Living, while the world is exceptionally well made and build&buy is fantastic, the expansion woefully lacks gameplay. It is alright if one treats the world as a vacation spot, and impacting local flora and fauna was a neat idea, but in all fairness it is lacking. However, with saying "get famous is nothing more than a gloried game pack", you are missing the mark by a mile and devaluing actually well made packs. Just as pure curiosity, which expansion do you find adequate in TS4?
