How long does a sim have to study for the final exam per one class?

Hi, I've been challenging for earning all degrees from both colleges. At the moment, he is studying Biology in Foxbury. He has to take 3 final exams in my game. The main skills for the degree are gardening and logic, and he has all level 10. Does he still have to study to prepare the final exam on computer or he will be alright without studying? If he has to, then how long does he have to study per one class?

I have mine study until the 'confident' moodlet pops up after every class. They come home from class and do their homework, and then study for the class. That formula seems to work - my Sims have all had A+ grades in everything.
  • I invite over the sim's professors when I'm worried about grades. After I study for awhile, I ask a professor about my grades for that class. I keep doing that until the professor tells me I'm a stellar student. You can find the professors in your Relationship panel if you don't already know who they are.

I know that 'well prepared' confident moodlet. Did you do that formula although your related skill with degree were already all maxed? or are the skills are getting higher while doing it?

Where can I find my sim's professor? I've never met any professor while earning 7 degrees. LOL Which panel of relationship? work? It's empty there.

There's no need to meet your professors in person. There's an option on the computer where you can email to ask how well you're doing in every class. I think it's under the university menu.

And usually when your sim does their homework and attends every class for the full duration thereof, they won't need to do too much additional studying, especially if they've already maxed the related skill.

Really, if you take notes and keep up on homework, and are building the course-related skill out of class, there is no strong need to study. I give each course a review the night before the final, long enough to get the Confident moodlet. I've never not gotten an A.

I found a new thing today. :D I saved my game as a new save, then I asked my sim to go sleep until the exam class. The exam time was half 1 pm, then he got up at 1pm, he washed for 20 mins, then he waited for the class for 5 mins at the front door. And I got 4 A+ LOL Of course, my sim already finished all homework and presentation stuff ages ago.

Yes You were right. In case my sim would be failed in the exam, I saved my game as different name, then asked him to go sleep until exam time. Then he just took the exam without any studying, then he got all As. It was amazing :D

i've never had any of my sims study for any of their exams and with one exception they aced them all (the one exception got lost on her way to the building and decided to get some food at a stall instead. i didn't notice until partway through the exam, since i'd clicked on the building and told her 'go take your exam' then went to focus on something else

it seems just having high level in whatever their skill is ensures they'll do pretty well

also, as for meeting professors, i tend to send my student sims to their uni's commons (and sometimes the competing uni's commons, as well) and the professors tend to wind up at those, especially on cram session day the night before an exam.
just know, professors from both universities will show up at either commons, so you'll want to make sure you ask them what their job is so they tell you which school they work for (but even those at the competing school seem to know your sim's grades. somehow)
there are 4 premade sims that come with the pack that usually show up as professors: jing fen, lana mckennon, serena bhamra, thomas jabari
but the game can, and will, also make other professors after a while

i have a habit of having my sims start their terms on fridays, so they have the whole weekend before their first class on monday. that weekend is spent working on presentations and term papers for the classes that have them (those then get turned in first thing monday) so they'll be out of the way, and doing all the initial homework for each class, plus focusing on whatever skills they may need for the classes. they also get to know the dormmates, scope out what organizations they may want to join and so on.
those two free days of early prep time help so, so much with the upcoming week...

Thank you for very handy information. I actually nearly live in students common but there were only other sims doing homework in my game. I didn't know the professors will be shown up. My sim got a degree in Biology today, I will have a look if there will be a new professor after choosing a new degree.

Going for a meal was funny.:D Yes actually, being late at class was ridiculous. My other sim had C although his skills were all 10 and did homework, presentation board as excellent quality and term paper as outstanding but he got C. I noticed he was late at class about 10 mins a couple of times, and I think it gave him C...

  • There is a reason to meet your professors in person. You can only email your professors once a day to ask about grades but you can ask them in person as many times as you want. That way, you can limit your studying to the amount actually needed.

The professors don't have a special category on the Relationship panel but they do have a special relationship with you, which is shown on their individual panels. You'll just have to look at every sim you've met until you find the ones that say Professor. They are usually sims you haven't met before unless you've been hanging around the universities.
