- Babykittyjade6 years agoSeasoned AceWell in my case I had a vampire in the house, so I used "influence emotions" to make my target sim angry for the research and he died of a heart attack from rage the two times I tried. Uhhh... other than that nope. Anger does not exist in lala land. :|
- I’ve never used them before so I’m not sure exactly what to do, but could you use a painting with an emotion attached to influence your sim’s mood? Also, you could change the lot trait to something negative to get them in a bad mood.
- I think if it's acting specific, if you click on your sim, there should be an option for research 'angry', which will make your sim angry and let you meet the criteria. Should also work when they are required to research other emotions too.

I do this but my sim is just too darn happy after having a baby and eating "exellent food" to be angry. XD- Sharooonia6 years agoSeasoned Ace

That's how it should work. Sadly it doesn't work. The other emotions are to strong and always end up dominating so sims can't do what they need for the requirement. I've run into this issue a few times and found no work around. It's quite frustrating. "Deadtech5;c-17290971" wrote:

Oh no, that is annoying! The happy emotions are so strong aren't they :/ My sim recently had his dad die and at the same time was very angry to have a new sibling - but the pictures on the wall were nice so he was overall very happy!! :s
I know MCCC has a moodlet and buff cheat, if you dont mind mods. I havent used that option yet, but I'm assuming that if you click on it then you can remove the moodlets, and be neutral long enough to research angry? Sorry not to be more helpful - I would have tried it out for you but my game just crashed taking photos :(- icemanfresh6 years agoLegendThere's a mod that rebalances the emotions system called Meaningful Stories. It converts most of the inconsequential happy moodlets into fine moodlets.
Some players have given feedback on how to rebalance the emotions, but the devs never really bothered updating any of the base systems, so this mod is the closest thing we'll get to an improvement :grimace: - I installed «meaningful stories» lately as well. I really like it. It balances the moodlets really good. I also use ui cheats to get rid off buffs I don’t want sometimes.
