Male Presets Reset after Exiting CAS, Including EA Presets

Hello. I'm having an issue where whenever I make a NEW male Sim, his presets reset back to a default state. The issue sprang up recently, I'd say in the past week, maybe, and it's very inconsistent. 

To start, a male Sims preset will immediately reset in my main save if I enter Live Mode, but if I give him presets in a fresh save file, he'll look fine. Importing that version into my main Save gave me the impression that the fineness would carry over ... until I edited the Sim more and he ended up glitching again. Reediting the Sim resolved it for now, but the issue persists for NEW Sims, and creating a new male base with presets in a new save doesn't always work. 

My immediate assumption was that it was a mod issue, so I tried numerous known solutions:

Fresh save, Clearing localthumbcache, repairing the game, 50/50'ing my mods folder, testing ONLY the presets, and testing only the base game in both my main AND fresh to see if the issue persists without mods. 

The issue persists even without mods, and I'll attach a base game-only preset screenshot to show that the presets reset regardless. This was with NO MODS and a freshly generated mods folder. 

So TLDR; This doesn't seem like a mod's issue and more like a base game issue.

Again, this is only affecting newly created MALE sims. Female Sims seem to be fine. Older male Sims are also free from the preset reset issue.

 I'd love to know if anyone else is experiencing this issue and if you have uncovered a solution.
