So my main Sim needs to own 10 masterpieces to advance in her career, previously she painted one masterpiece after another, but suddenly it stopped. Now she very rarely paints masterpieces, no matter what her mood is, even Very Inspired doesn't get her any masterpieces. I already have bought the extra perks to increase the chance.Anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Okay now she just painted 2 master pieces right after another :| Edit: Make that 5, wtf

I found no difference in the size of the painting, so I always made small ones to try to get masterpieces faster. I've also noticed each Sim I had seems to get way more masterpieces in one specific kind of painting, but it is different for each Sim, so you kind of have to figure it out. I had one Sim that made masterpieces almost every time they made an abstract painting (or maybe it was pop, I don't really remember), and then another Sims that made almost none in that category but tons in another.

I always seem to have the best luck getting masterpieces when my sims needs are all completely in the green and they are happy about something underneath the inspired moodlet so like the well decorated/good meal/are painting outside if they love the outdoors and also having them listen to music while they're painting seems to increase the chances of masterpieces for me. It's a random thing but I have noticed it across multiple sims so there might be something too it.

i was able to finally get masterpieces by making sure they both had the inspired moodlet before starting to paint....it helped having items around my easle ( like post cards) that put them in an inspired mood...

I once got an abstract masterpiece. Not too long later, my sim painted the exact same painting but it wasn't considered a masterpiece. Idgi.

awesome thanks for all the ideas..it will help later on when i make painting a career...right now their career is astronaut...i get bored quickly so i change things often lol...anyone else do that too? im going through their aspirations one by one as well till all of them are completed....dont know what happens when all aspirations are finsihed and i cant wait to find out...also want to find out what happens when they get lvl 10 on all careers too lol...thats just how i play...

There are achievements that involve completing level 10 on all careers and completing all aspirations.

@rosemow ty that will help a lot...my sims reached lvl 10 space ranger in the astronaut career, after about a sim month or so i had them both quit their jobs and right now i havent given them a new job to do...im working on their aspirations....just finished up the fishing aspiration...moved to music and just realized that even though they are both 10 in the the piano, guitar, and violin they really cant play music very well....sounds like cats running across the piano keys and getting into fights with the violin and guitar lol...and im having them both write songs for the aspiration goal....well those wont be best selling songs lol..they are awful

I paint a masterpiece , named it, copyed it, sold art gallery and then went to work. I came home now painting on wall normal (still named) and way cheap and aura lower

If you critically assess your paintings each time you will get more ideas and your sims should paint more masterpieces. Mine do ??
