- I’ve had this happen to me today, my sims’ daughter is mischievous and she did some interactions that had her playful, also had a toddler brother and clean clothes. Her mood kept switching from very playful to hysterical and I’ve never ever reached hysterical so I started to freak out lol very close call.
- Haven't seen either an excess of Playful or a Hysterical moodlet in my Sims. Actually my Sim keeps getting Sad because the clothes don't dry properly so she gets the Damp Clothes moodlet a lot. Not sure if she has enough Handiness to upgrade the dryer to get rid of the problem.

I don't have the laundry pack yet, but have you tried to chuck the clothes back into the dryer for a second tumble? It works in RL at least :smirk: - ChocopugNew SpectatorI just got the laundry pack yesterday and noticed this. My sims keep becoming Very Playful thanks to the laundry moodlet and other happy buffs. I think it's a bug, and I hope it's sorted out soon. I don't have toddlers in the household I noticed this in, and no emotional auras or traits that lead to excessive playfulness.
- GypsyRozLynSeasoned NewcomerI have noticed this too - not sure when it started though - sims go real fast for no reason to very playful/hysterical. It is concerning because sims can die from this.
- Yes, one of the laundry-created moodlets is playful, and although it's just +2, it tends to set the pace for everything else. I had a couple hysterical from laundry (since they had also recently married and had new baby happiness too), but fortunately it passed without any deaths.

To be fair, you were the one who gave her those traits. Don't know why you're blaming Maxis.
My personal sims though have none of those traits and the male nearly died from this as well... He's an ambitious, athletic genius."AshtontoAshton22;c-16289296" wrote:

Eh?
Maxis gave her the traits - they set her up to be killed.
That is why I included the link to her:
http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Luna_Villareal
I didn't know she was primed to die until it happened - I found out in arrears that it was a Maxis set-up.
EDIT:
Oh, I see what you mean - No - she didn't have Goofball, but she has childish.
I just thought she had Goofball too.
EDIT:
Having said that, maybe I did swap in Goofball too.
I don't really remember.- Karababy52New SpectatorMy Sim hasn't gotten hysterical yet, thankfully, just very playful. But I think from now on when clothes coming out of the dryer are "warm and dry" I'll just set the stack down and delete them instead of having her put them away. I've noticed the "warm and dry" result is what causes the "playful" moodlet when worn.
Also, I've read in another thread you can sell the stacks for around 50 simoleans, maybe more? Better to make a few bucks intead of dying from hysteria! o.O - I just had this in my game today with one of my teenagers and thought it was a glitch. How scary!
I did panic trying to calm her down as soon as I could so she wouldn't die, but it seemed to dissapear suddenly like it never happened.
Her father is the hilarious Johnny Zest in my game with the goofball trait and her mom is Yadira from one of the apartments in city living with a goofball trait... so the house is mostly in a playful mood. I'd never actually seen the hysterical emotion pop up till today in my game.
