Tips to make friends faster

Hey Simmers!

I was wondering if their are ways to make friends faster. The friend of the world aspiration is getting hard and it's taking me forever to make 20 friends.

I have many traits that could help, but they only seem to work when I introduce myself to other sims.

What else can I do?

Thanks!

Do "deep conversation" first (if available) then "get to know" second. You can find out a trait with both of these but "deep conversation" doesn't seem to show if you already asked "get to know" in the same conversation.

I know it's just a game, but I never use deep conversation if the sims are just getting to know each other lol

Only cause in real life it would be weird to come up yo a stranger and have a deep conversation lol

This must be random from game to game because I've never had this problem in my own game and I'll usually do the get to know action first with new sims since it's usually right their waiting. I seem to have more trouble getting get to know to come up with any regularity after the first one in a conversation though.

My bad, I meant that "deep conversation" doesn't reveal a trait if you have already revealed one in the same conversation as "get to know." "Get to know" is available right away, but have to have a certain friendship level to have "deep conversation" show up, so you can usually do "get to know" on the first meeting, then "deep conversation" and "get to know" at a later time.

With the Observant trait, you know all traits when you introduce yourself (Friendly works, Cheerful doesn't seem to), so don't need the "get to know" interaction, but can still use "deep conversation" for the +1 happy moodlet.
  • Incredibly Friendly Trait. That really helped me with the Friend of The World Aspiration, every time you meet someone, it becomes your friend, so after that it was all about leveling the Charisma skill. Other than that, I think the easier way to make a friend is to Cloudgaze.

But does the observant trait help you make friends faster?

Yeah , I do have that. The thing is that I want my sim to become good friends with the people he already knows :/ so it's not really helping me much at the moment. It's a shame though cause it's so expensive :(
  • Do you have the Spa Day GP @Orchid13? If you do, your Sim can develop 'good vibes' towards a friend they already have while meditating and magically become Good Friends with them. I just discovered this myself. My Sim has only meditated a couple times and it only happened once so I don't know how often it can happen or what triggered it. Thought I'd mention it though as an option for you. Good luck, you've got some great suggestions here so far. :)
  • Will it be too late to add my experience here? :D With Get Together, Create a club, then buy a perk about charisma, then keep chatting with club members, then it will give your sim a huge boost of charisma skill, then it will boost also the big friendship as well. I was be able to raise from 8 point of charisma up to level 10 for a day while staying in the club.
  • Ok, I have a ton of great CC traits. I would never be able to do the friend of the world without them. Also, add in Observant and the Incredibly Friendly one from the rewards store before doing this challenge. Have your fame perks up to 20 so you can buy all fame rewards. You don't need the copycat fashion one and the one above it. Have a high celebrity level on your sim Make sure your reputation is Pristine. This helps with you making friends quickly just by introducing yourself. Make sure you can have more than 2 traits for your teen or 3 for young adult or older. Next set MCCC to -100 so that you get no fame, romantic and friendship decay.

Ok Now for the traits you are going to need. Keep in mind most of these traits are custom traits and I don't recall where it is I got them from.

    Popular
    Charismatic
    Apollo
Aphrodite even though it makes other sims flirty around you it also helps with making friends pretty fast.
    Muse
    God/Goddess trait
    Blessed
    Lucky
    Outgoing
    Star Quality
    K-Pop Star
You can use the Dionysus trait too
    Good Sence of Humour
    Goofball
    Bro
Jock... The Jock trait instead of Athletic trait helps your sims make friends fast which keeping them athletic and fit. I love when its added with the Bro trait.

I have been experimenting with the traits I have and this is the combination that has helped me with Friend of The World Aspiration short of cheating the aspiration to accomplish it.

    I hope this helps

With these traits for my sims, I end up with at least a friend level starting out with their friendships as soon as they have introduced themselves. I don't have to waste time in learning traits thanks to the observant trait from the reward store know my sim will be instantly liked from a friendly introduction thanks to the incredibly friendly trait also in the rewards store. As long as it's not a rude or mean introduction you will be fine.
