What does "dazed" actually mean? (contains spoilers)

I'm pretty sure that "dazed" is just the EA term for "intoxicated." I know they can get it after being electrocuted too, but I notice it more if they're partying at the bar.

I never seem to have good things happen when my Sims are dazed; they walk more slowly, are slower to react to events, and they get distracted easily. I only will set them to dazed if they need to appear some kind of wasted for my story!

You can also be dazed by simply having your experiment explode up in your face but it lasts for like 5 sim minutes. Its funny to me. This only works if you have get to work and become a scientist

I think you should be able to get the Dazed moodlet from exercising too. If I do long workouts on a low carbohydrate diet and don't top up with sports drinks/gels , low blood sugar plus exercise endorphins makes me feel "dazed". I'll be forced to stop because I'm so dazed I can't remember where I am, rather than because my muscles are sore.

On my bicycle, fun effects include

>Riding into a ditch/hedge because the road curved and I did not
>Trails and afterimages off streetlights
>Colours getting really oversaturated at sunset and colours "bleeding" into each other.

Unless you eat something, these effects take a pretty long time to dissipate after stopping the exercise.

The Sims encourages the idea that you can work out for hours every day while eating nothing but Garden Salad (no protein or carbs to speak of, what calories there are come from the oil dressing) so I'd think "Dazed" is a pretty likely outcome !

Seems strange they gave the "dazed" moodlet to the snaggle fluster. It does make one think that learning skills would be quicker with those "other" dazed" moodlets but it is not so with most other "dazed" moodlets to my knowledge.

And while I am talking about the snaggle fluster moodlet, I don't know why my Sim has suddenly got the bad moodlet from a disappointing drink when making it, never used to.........unless that is because she is no longer in the Mixology career? I have not noticed this before though. Seems strange that Sims can make meals from master chef that no longer spoil when getting that aspiration, but making snaggle fluster drink gets a bad moodlet for me now. Not that it causes any problems in my game, my Sim usually has lots of good moodlets to counteract it.

Wondering if it is a glitch, just like it was when my other Sims who were excellent at making food, took orange juice or another quick meal from the fridge; it was normal food and they got the bad moodlet (food was not up to standard). I notice that has been sorted lately and I no longer have that problem.

A Sim can come back 'dazed' after an alien abduction. I don't see dazed as a good thing, at all. I have become 'dazed' myself under medication. Had pneumonia once and the doctor had me on about five different medications. I called a friend to tell her I wasn't coming to Writer's Group and she totally laughed at me over the phone, saying I was so plumb drunk. No, I was just medicated. LOL One cannot possibly function well when dazed.

I have some custom traits that make a sim dazed, like insomnia and imaginative (described as being off in their own little world).

Oh, yeah, I remember seeing that happen at the Club or a Dance Party of some sort. Had no idea about the Flower Power thing, tho, far out, haha! My Sims randomly stare at things sometimes, but I would never think to have them do it unless it was a whim. I wonder if any other objects cause moodlets from looking at them? I know the minerals cause a Focused Moodlet if you Study them. I like to stack this with the Pitch Black Tea, listen to New Age, enable Mathematical Diagram Painting, boosted with Good WiFi Lot Trait, so that my Sim's Focused Mood can last almost the whole time it takes to do a Freelance Programming job.

Haven't got lost exactly, but I've forgotten what street I was on and where I meant to go a few times.
