Whyyyy all the cropped pants for guys???

I suggest to solve the problem in a silly way : every townie who happens to wear cropped pants is a member of the new pirate trend. Dress them all like Captain Hook, until there are dozens of pirates in the streets. :D

We need more pants period, for both sexes. I'd like more skinny jeans for the men and women, I hate the baggy pants and the ones with the weird flare at the bottom. I actually like the cropped pants though.

On another note, sims-world fashion is so bad. X.x I know it's all randomized, but whoa. I've tried to tell myself that sims-world is a different place, and I'm sure these are all very normal looks there, but it really doesn't work. I spend so much time fixing townies because I can't see them everywhere looking like THAT.

Male Sims are notoriously lacklaster in terms of CAS. Seems to be an issue with the series in general. Maybe women's clothing irl has a wider variety. Maybe it's a stereotype that most guys either wear the same stuff or care less about 'fashion'. Maybe more female Sims are made so they get catered to more. I'm not sure what the reason is.

Even when it comes to the new unisex options, most male clothing looks better on female Sims than vice versa (though I imagine part of that is due to body framing issues).

@thegoodoldgamer part of the unisex issue might (likely) be that our society is more accepting of women adopting traditionally masculine looks, than the other way around.

I spend hours scrolling through CC sites looking specifically for Male Jeans. Ugh...males in cropped jeans/pants...no way. ergh. Also hate the very flat texture.. no wait.. also hate the fact there is no texture on most of the males pants.

I've never used them and I always give my townies a makeover when they're dressed in them. Maybe its a fashion fad in California where Maxis is located. I've never seen a man wearing cropped pants where I live. I've had several encounters/conversations with people over the years who were from California and some have commented about how people in my area look so "normal" compared to people in California ("normal" being their word, not mine). Although one was downright rude and calling us names because we don't follow the "fashions" that they do.

That's not to say that everyone in California is a weird dresser, just that there are different fads in different parts of the country/world and this is one I definitely don't like. :)

Ugh, my boyfriend and I complain about this all the time, too. I don't like to bog my game down with epic amounts of cc but sometimes it's just necessary because most of the styles for male Sims are awful. This was a problem with
2 & 3 as well.

There are certain clothing items like that, as well as hairstyles, that I don't like and won't let my sims wear but I'm glad they're in the game because I use them as a play mechanic. Sims are basically omnisexual (men, women, vampires, aliens, it's all good) so when my sims age up to teen I determine their orientation based on whatever they choose for themselves. "Those pants and that hair? Okay, let's go find the love of your life. But first go to the dresser, because as long as you look like that neither of us is going to be happy!" :D :D I also get a laugh out of the hideous getups on the townies. . . in CAS, as I'm giving them a makeover ;)

I give all of my townies makeovers. Not one hideously dressed, thin eyebrowed, ugly hatted sim will remain. That is until the next round of townies spawn. The battle continues.
