disappearing items

I am currently having a bug where everytime my sim travels, their items that they have on them will dissapear, similar to that everytime my sim leaves their home and comes back all the food in the fridge will have also disappeared. My bookcases also never have any books in them and when I buy books for them everytime my sim leaves and comes back the books disappear again.
