Furniture disappeared from lot

Hi there! I spent a lot of time building a home and now I'm worried that I lost a lot of my progress because the lot no longer has furniture. Hoping this can be fixed and I can avoid having to start over so any help is appreciated!

So, here is what happened. I needed to build something large so I evicted a default sim family and bulldozed the lot. From some preliminary research, I wonder if this could be part of the problem. They did not die on the lot, I just moved them out. I also used CC and the moveobjects cheat, but this hasn't been a problem for other lots.

I noticed the problem when I tried to move my family in. "Furnished" was not an option. I went to edit it from the world view and noticed that all of the furnished was indeed gone, although the building itself remained.

I loaded an old save and I can see the furniture from the world map. But if I try to edit it, visit it, move a sim in, the furniture is still gone. I could have sworn I saved it to the gallery, but apparently not. If I do have to start over, now I'm worried that it will keep doing this. Even if I do save it properly to the gallery now, I place things in a particular way through moveobjects so I wouldn't want that to be lost every time I need to place the lot. Any recommendations for saving my progress or at least preventing this from happening again? Thank you!

  • Hi @AnnieC2495 Just want to note that you can retain moveobjects info when you place a Gallery lot: It's enabled by default now for that!

Not being able to select furnished is most often a result of not having enough money. Check funds before anything else.

That's good to know about moveobjects, thank you! Unfortunately, the sim did have enough funds and the furniture is still gone. I tried making another family too just to see, but no luck. Again, thank you anyway!
