Chances are if you haven't played in a while is that there was at least one update since you last played and it probably updated before you started the game this time. Those turn off script mods and CC. So, check your game options to make sure they are still on. If the boxes are not checked, they're off so check the boxes and apply the settings. Then restart the game. When you start the game with the mods and CC buttons unchecked, you will get the Items Removed popup if the lot you load into has CC on it or the sims are wearing CC. That is normal. Hopefully, you didn't save again after that and when you go back to a lot or CAS, everything should be just as you left it. If you did save when you exited with the boxes unchecked, you will have to put the CC back on the lots or the sims unless you revert to an earlier save. You can try recovering the earlier save by going to the Load Game menu and hitting the Recover Save button.
