@wintersoldier038 Then you still have issues in your Mods folder. If you'd like some more hand-on support with this, I can have a look at what you have, but I'd prefer you start a new topic for that. Instructions on how to create a list of your mods are in How to Use Mods and CC . That's the specific list I need, not screenshots etc.

  • Hi, have just gotten back from vacation and updated my game, hoping it would be fixed somehow from the update. I removed mods I would be fine without with others on my desktop, the only thing in my mods folder I believe was CC and then updated. There is still an issue and I'm starting to lose hope of keeping what I've worked on and unsure what else to do.

  • As silly as this sounds, especially for how long I've been playing the sims, how do I make a new user folder?

@wintersoldier038 Drag the whole The Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts (or rename the folder) and restart the game. You'll need to reset your Options (I recommend doing this rather than copying the Options file back into the new folder). For the rewards from this summer's temporary event, copy the UserSetting.ini file from the old folder into the new one.

@wintersoldier038 You don't need to do that unless your old save is corrupted. Here's an order to do things in:

    1. Start a New game to see if CAS is behaving okay now.

    2. Exit Sims 4

    3. Copy your saves files out of the old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Keep the old copy there, though, in case putting mods back breaks it again.

    4. Start Sims 4, load your old save, and see if CAS is behaving okay now.

If CAS is now okay in your old save, you can start copying mods back in, but don't copy back anything list broken, and make sure mods that needed an update got one: Broken/Updated Mods & CC .

If you do have problems in the old save, you can use Manage Households to load households in CAS and save them to your Library (this is the Tray folder, and you'll have made a new one of those too. You can copy the old Tray files into the new folder too.) You can then import those households into a new save, but they won't know each other anymore. I use clubs to get them to know each other again, MC Command Center to fix their family relationships between households, and UI Cheats Extension to fix relationship levels.

  • @luthienrisingI think a save is corrupted. The new save worked fine so I copied it back into the new folder and loaded it up. Opened the family in CAS, name change was fine. However, now no traits at all load for any of them, including the dog. The only thing i have put into the new user save was the saves themselves.

I am having this issue as well. I have not removed my mods or tested a new save yet, but I wanted to say that this only happens when I use the cas.fulleditmode cheat on a household with 8 sims or less. I will test with no mods on a new save with the cheat in just a few moments.
