Re: Sims 4 gallerys not downloading in build mode

@lexnastics Did you check your antivirus security settings ?

What issues do you have with the gallery ? Few more details would be very helpful.

Gallery is currently not allowing me to download any builds and gets stuck on a loading screen for hours on end. Tried deleting my localthumbcache thing but that's not working. Also all the images are llamas? Not played in a few months, all my mods got updated this morning I'm getting no last exception notifications from mccc so it's nothing on that regard. Overall not doing so good 🥲

@lexnastics Does sound like your antivirus program is blocking something.

(I merged your posts into one so all the info is kept in one place)

What should I be looking for, I believe I'm just using Windows security, haven't messed with any of its settings. Only got the pc back in June.

@lexnastics If you're using defender, it's usually the controlled folder access. It often happens that something starts to be blocked after updating the game cause defender protects your documents folder from changes.

Just add Sims 4 as an exception.

Just tried to follow this but sims 4 doesn't show up as an option? Put a picture below. As you can see it's located on my desktop however it's not shown as such in the excemptions area.

@lexnastics You need to pick the path where your game is installed.

    The default path is: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin

You're currently looking at your desktop-

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
