Vickysweetheart Not all mods available online are working. Some are simply broken.
Please try this test to make sure that some script mods will work:
- rename your Mods folder.
- Start the game and exit to make a new Mods folder for testing. Delete the file called localthumbcache.
- download a new copy of XML Injector from the Scumbumbo website or Curseforge
- Install both files from the download into the newly created Mods folder
- Start Sims 4
If you do get a Mods pop-up on loading:
- Look if it says the two mod files are there
- Go into the game (it can be a new save, which is useful for testing)
- Click on a mailbox to see if you see in the pie menu info that the mod is working. Congrats! Your issue isn't ALL script mods. Now you can use the resources in Mod & CC Issues: START HERE (patch 1.118) | EA Forums - 5035292 to help you locate broken mods.
If you don't get a Mods pop-up on loading OR if the pop-up doesn't show any script mods:
- Check if your Options are selected for mods. If not, do that and restart the game.
- Let me know if that works.
