Werewolf (and other occult sims) content referencing issue

In the game version 1.113, many players have been experiencing occult sim-related issues regarding how in-game content for occult sims are loaded. E.g., in werewolf sims, the game no longer loads some custom contents, such as socks and hair. Even some CCs that should work such as chin tuffs that are always available without any CAS unlocking mods, it will not load those contents.  If you force applying missing contents back and then save the CAS, the game will crash with no error logs.

The thing is this is not exclusive to custom content gameplay either. Even vanilla contents that come with the game also don't work. Many players have been reporting that the vanilla werewolves don't have nose colour and eye shadows. Broken colour palette presets, etc. These bugs seem to explain this phenomenon pretty well:
