Why does my sims 4 stop working after build mode

Every time I go into build mode to redecorate and go back into play mode my game automatically freezes. I can’t click on anything, I can’t even save the process. I have to shut down the entire HP laptop. Please help

@KeKeRank11 Are you using mods or custom content, and if so, does this happen when you remove the entire Mods folder? You don't need to save your progress; this is just for testing.

If this happens with no mods or cc present, please try building in a new save and let me know whether it's affected as well.

I took all mods and cc away and it worked! Now, I deleted everything in mods folder. Hopefully, will start over again soon!

Hello, i had the same problem as the person you replied to, and i moved my mods folder out of my sims 4 folder and now the problem is fixed, but i would Still like my cc back, how do i fix This problem with cc?

@sophiecato Start by checking if there are known broken or updated mods/CC that you can remove or replace, using this list: Broken/Updated Mods & CC

Thank you!! Since i lost all my saves a while ago and can’t get them back cuz I didn’t back them up, i just deleted all my cc cuz i don’t have the builds anymore anyway, but thank you so much I’ll remember this for next time this happens!!
