Same here. The game is completely unplayable right now ever since I installed the update.

It happens in every mode, even in build mode. Please don't say that solving this will take as long as it took to fix the bugs we had after Eco Living.

My game has only crashed twice since the update,  but everything has slowed to a crawl.  Every other command is ignored,  and I cannot speed up time without hitting the button 3 or 4 times.  I agree with everyone else that the PS4 version is completely unplayable right now which really irritates me.  Why the heck did I buy most of the expansions, game and stuff packs only to find myself not being able to play it?

ETA:  Oh,  and my sims completely stop talking at random points and won't start again without reloading.  The music will still play,  but no voices can be heard whether talking or singing.  Before anyone asks... The volume is fine on my Voices under the Audio menu.  This NEVER happened until this update.

So I actually went through all of the troubleshooting steps recommended (make sure ps4 is updated, make sure game is updated, shut down console completely and then restart after a few minutes, I even uninstalled the ENTIRE GAME and REINSTALLED it and all of my expansion packs). I’ve just now been playing for maybe 30 mins and AGAIN the game crashes. I’ve been playing Sims 4 for just a couple of years, but I’ve never had a problem like this before I downloaded the recommended update that was supposed to fix all the bugs already in the game!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? There's no discernible trigger. The game will simply seize/freeze for maybe a second and then produce a PS4 error CE-34878-0 which forces the game to close. It happens randomly, seemingly whenever the game feels like it.
What happens when the bug occurs? As explained above, the crash produces PS4 bluescreen error code CE-34878-0, and asks for you to report the issue (which I have done, twice, attaching screenshot and video).
What do you expect to see? I would sincerely HOPE to be able to actually PLAY THE GAME, considering this constant crashing has made that impossible.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? None, as this is console-related
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? I have never once in my months and months of playing TS4 on PS4 ever experienced a crash until this sudden deluge following the November 10th 2020 release of patch 1.33, preceding the release of Snowy Escape.

Adding what little bit of info I can. The first time I loaded the game I spent nearly 3 hours messing with a lot; bulldozing, replacing, moving, building, buying, etc. and all was well. Returned to the game a few hours later (after powering down my console as I always have when I'm done playing) and crashed within 15 minutes while continuing to remodel the yard, and then again within 15 minutes after reloading. I had saved twice before then in anticipation of another crash, and I'm glad I did. Unbelievable, and absolutely unplayable.

This is quite possibly the most disheartening thing I could have started playing and experienced today. Looking forward to the new expansion, and this is how it's starting out? Here's to hoping this doesn't get left on the backburner, considering how many paying players this is effectively ostracizing.

This saddens me. It is/can be a really enjoyable game. But...

Releasing untested software is a big No-No in software development: You just DONT DO IT! To me, this indicates a problem with priorities. I have read of numerous repetitive bugs that as yet, remain unaddressed despite consumer requests to please, please please fix this. "React in Disgust"?

Again: priorities.

I will not be purchasing the upcoming expansion. Furthermore, I will be extremely reluctant to purchase ANY future EA titles.

I have also followed all of your previous advice earlier in this thread, and it’s just crashed again. Hopefully there will be a fix soon! 

Unfortunately EA really only cares about making money and not the quality of their games. They fail to simply comb for bugs whenever they release a new update, I have the same issue it only happens when I'm in live mode, the audio on my PS4 also corrupts

Same my game crashes constantly when in live mode and in build mode or cas. Can't really play it at all just stuck on Friday " groundhog Day Sims edition" ATM as everytime it crashes it takes me back to the same time/date in game (guessing last save). Keep snitching on my PS4 feel sly at this point tbh 😂

I have the same issue!, EA FIX THIS * can anyone tell me how can I get my money back cuz I preordered snowy scape and if I can't play it I don't want it

The problem with this is the ONLY time my game has crashed (8 times since last night) has been when the sound stopped working. It is the only common denominator.

Can you please explain to me why it is helpful for me to fill out a seperate bug report for the audio issue I am experiencing with this update when that audio bug report is then merged into this mega crash thread? I am not being a * I honestly would like to know. As someone who also works in the tech industry this baffles me as inefficient. What am I misunderstanding here?

@Amalathea Your report was about the crashing. So it was merged back into the crash thread. The reports in the bug forum are one issue per thread. We need a thread that is only about the sound disappearing and cutting out, even if you feel it's connected to the crashing, the bug report must just be about the sound cutting out or disappearing.

Though if you are only hearing the sound issue right before the crash, it may be different than the sound issue others are posting about. 

My game is also completely unplayable after this patch. It has crashed a countless number of times and the game itself now runs horribly, my ps4 is incredibly loud when playing this game.

Doesn't matter what I do, it just crashes. It needs to be fixed.

Same thing. Since update 1.33 the game keep crashing all the time. I can’t play even 10 minutes without crashing. I got all add on packs, even pre order the new one. All my files are updated and since yesterday i cant play the game. Please release a new file update with the previous one, postpone the new expansion pack if necessary, but let us play our game.

@dj-conflict every time I try to save and actually fully save it doesn't save ☹️ I hope EA fixes this problem ASAP and finds out what is going wrong in the November update.

Has the makers of the new patch of November been talked to yet? 

I can't even save my files at all on my PS4 pro even if I click save and which I want to overwrite and it doesn't save. ☹️

I'm so sorry! That must be so frusturating! That's why I didn't want to uninstall anything because either way I still thought the game wouldn't work properly
