Why is my house completely blue ps4

Hi everyone so I’m new to the sims,

I downloaded it a few days ago and when I try to build a house, the exterior appear a normal colour however all of the interior is completely blue?
For some reason I can’t place carpet in the house either and when I put it on the floor it again appears blue even if it’s not! I’ll insert a picture.

I did put windows and doors on the house however most of them have randomly disappeared but I haven’t had my money back that I spent on them? It’s getting extremely annoying!

I also cannot change the wallpaper in the house so I really need help because I can’t play due to these issues.

I aren’t enjoying the game as I should be and don’t feel I can progress in the game because I can’t even build a house!
