Black squares on world maps

Hi I have an issue. On almost all my maps there are black squares on the picture. I can click on the houses but sometimes I have to click next to it. I tried everything. It also happened in a clean s...

    Just for anyone in the future looking for solution. The EA version worked normally on a new save, the changing of the graphics options on crossover also worked (DXMT) and I managed to get rid of the squares in my main save by going into each build mode and saving it again.

Hi, I have the same issue, I tried everything. It also happended in a clean save and a clean game according to instructions I have found here, nothing seems to work and I keep getting more and more of those squares after time. I have now cc and a few mods, but it also happened without any.
