You have chosen to add 3rd party content to your game. With that comes risks as every time the game is updated, as it was this week (twice), the mods you are using can break and require updating by the creator, not EA. That is clearly reflected in the screenshot you have provided.
Make sure any new CC/Mods is unzipped and placed directly in the Mods folder.
Also sounds like your issue might be this very common problem which is stickied at the top of this Mac forum - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Saves-CC-Mods-or-Library-items-disappeared/m-p/10242133#M45493

Hi Bluebellfllora,
Thanks for responding. I totally understand the risk cc causes, and I have read that thread backwards and forwards. I'm just curious to why Maxis allows custom content to be used in the game only to make updates that causes it to not work? I have 1 TB left on my icloud storage. I have taken my mods folder out and deleted the localthumbcache/gameversion/options.int and replaced it several times. Earlier today my furniture cc was showing up in my game and now it's completely removed (because I moved the folder to my desktop). However it is listed in my custom content in the mods folder when I click gameplay. I have taken all my furniture out of the folders and only added a little at a time but nothing shows up. I have tried every troubleshooting there is for a mac. The game is boring without cc, I am looking for a solution in a community of fellow Simmers but I am not finding any answers, I just want to play, jeez!

@sunkissis Maxis allows custom content because people have been using it since Sims 1. Whether or not the developers wanted that to happen, players are going to keep adding it. So instead of fighting a losing battle, they've streamlined the process. At least with this setup, there are fewer opportunities to damage saves or the game files themselves. But that doesn't mean that Maxis has any obligation to make considerations for third-party content.
For your issue, it sounds like the game is reading a different folder than the one you're using. Since you have iCloud enabled, you may be looking in the iCloud version of Documents rather than the one stored locally. To see the full file path of a file or folder, right-click on it and select Get Info, then look under "Where." If you don't add or remove the custom content from the folder Sims 4 uses, the changes won't appear in your game.
