CAS works but gameplay doesn't
I've had quite a lot CC for a while but my game has always worked perfectly with it. After some months of not playing The Sims, I got back to it and everything went smoothly (CAS, saving household, picking house) but the game crashed on the loading screen right before the actual gameplay starts, after picking a lot to live in. I found it weird since I hadn't added any new CC to my game so it should've worked as usual. I tried repairing my game, deleting broken CC, but nothing worked. The only time the gameplay actually worked was when I had Mods disabled. I got rid of quite a few GB from my Mods folder but it still didn't fix anyhting. What could this issue be and how could I fix it and still have my CC?

You have incompatible CC that needs to be updated to the latest patch level. There is currently a slot issue whereby if an object, e.g. bookcase, has over 195 slots the game will crash after you click on the lot to play. Go through your CC and remove all items that may have this issue. It could of course be other outdated CC so it's probably worth moving it all out and then back in in batches to test.
