Cursor slow to respond in CAS

I am unable to customize my sim by clicking and dragging. I am playing on a Macbook Air and I have tried using a wireless Microsoft mouse but nothing seems to work. I can do very minimal customizing with my touchpad but no customizing with the mouse. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if its a game glitch or if its actually a cheat or something.

EDIT (Crin): Moved to mac forum @VossTess

    You should be able to use your Trackpad for all customisation but I understand that some users are more comfortable using a mouse. Have you checked your Trackpad settings in System Preferences > Trackpad? Is the mouse fully compatible with your Mac's operating system?

    Also, when you say click and drag what do you mean exactly? That you can't click and drag out body parts?

    hello everyone,

    i own a macbook pro 15" and whenever i play sims 4 especially the CAS i find that dragging the features such as eyes, nose and mouth e.t.c. don't work properly. it barely moves and because of this i have to select the pr existing features which isn't as fun. i have tried using a actual mouse rather than a trackpad and i have uninstalled and reinstalled sims 4 and nothing works.

    is it a common problem for sims 4 for mac?

    please help

    @jordan554541

    It seems to be a common problem on some Macs. I've moved your thread to this one where other users have also noticed the slow responsiveness in CAS. CAS is a lot more responsive in Windows on the same Mac.

    @jordan554541

    It's up to EA to release a fix for it. Thankfully it's not a game breaker but it is very annoying, especially as the performance is much better in Windows.

    @VossTess @jordan554541 @nbgem and any others experiencing this, please can you provide further details about your Mac:

     Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. You should see a window like the one above. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on More Info depending on what operating system you're running). Do NOT include your serial number:

    • Operating System (Version)
    • Mac model
    • Processor
    • Memory (RAM)
    • Graphics
    • 15" MacBook Pro users - click on System Report then Graphics/Displays in the left side list. If your Mac has dedicated graphics this will show up as either NVIDIA or AMD in the right side window, please list the specification here as well.

    15" MacBook Pros:

    My specs:

    Model: Late 2012 15" MacBook Pro

    Version: OS X El Capitan 10.11.3

    Processor: 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7

    Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB (game uses this one)

    CAS sliders are sluggish in OS X but much improved in Windows on the same Mac.
