Game not loading since EA app download

Since doing the switch from Origin to EA- my game won't play.

Everything is downloaded on the EA app, the expansion packs and stuff packs and extras but when I try to open the game it keeps telling me to restart to use the content.

I've restated the game, the EA app and also my MAC and nothing changed.

I've checked the hard drive space and there's plenty.

It's not storing to iCloud, there's an EA folder in documents with a Sims 4 folder in.

I've repaired the game on the EA app.

I've followed all of the trouble shoots I've seen on here and nothing seems to be helping.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated please!

I'm having the same issue - I tried going into multiple message boards and following the troubleshooting options the team leads present, and none of it is working!! I would really love to access my game that I've paid for!

Hi there! I tried to toggle off the Sims 4 with no thumbnail but unfortunately the game did the same thing- acted as if it would load, the icon bounced in the dock, and it returned to the EA main menu. ☹️

☹️ do you have enough space to install just the base game on your internal drive to test? Change the download location in EA App to your Applications folder, re-download the base game and see if it launches.

i am having a similar problem my sims 4 folder is not showing up and i have done every thing to fix it

Please open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:

find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null

After a little while it will return the results of the search. You'll know when it's finished searching because the command prompt will reappear. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.
