    Thanks both. The reason I asked for the Config files was to check your game version number and also your specific Mac model. You're both running the Legacy Edition as confirmed by the 1620 in the patch number 1.68.154.1620. Your Macs are both 2011 models and cannot run the current version of the game. Legacy Edition, even though it appears to update, doesn't receive any updates which is why you do not have any new content and features in your game.

Exactly. You have the legacy version so you do not get any new updates or content. If you want to run the current version of the game you need to get a newer Mac which supports Metal. Again, the info is all in the link I provided.
