How Do I Play Sims 4 if I no longer meet the requirements?

I’ve recently been told that I can no longer play the Sims 4 on my laptop because I don’t meet the requirements. I’ve been playing since last year so I’m not understanding why this is happening now. I have a MacBook Air 2018. Has anyone else had this problem? I really want to get back to my game but I don’t want to buy a new laptop. Any suggestions????

Who told you that? Although MacBook Airs aren’t designed for gaming, and the Intel models really aren’t very powerful, your Mac should still be able to run the game.
  • My laptop told me so. Also it told me to download the legacy edition. I did that and it still crashed. Do I need to play without mods/cc?? I received the message in the attachment as well.

You don’t need to run the Legacy version as your Mac supports Metal.

Try a whole new clean game first, free of all your saves, Mods etc. - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163

    Then do a super repair:

    1. In your Applications folder, or wherever you have the game installed to, right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
    2. Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
    3. Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place.
    4. Now open Origin, right click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click Repair Game.
