How to fix “Invalid Item definition” when placing items in Sims 4?

I’ve had this problem for a while now, where some items won’t be placed and if I try the message “Invalid Item Definition” comes up. 

This recently happened with the parenting books, which have disappeared from the bookstore when I try and buy them from there, and when I found them as debug items, it came with the message when trying to buy them. 

I have the right packs for it so it’s not about that. 

It also happens with some speakers, bookshelves, chairs, beds, etc. etc...

Does anyone know how I can fix it?
