That's the Dock shortcut. Where is the actual game installed on your Mac? Which version of macOS are you running?

- 6 years ago@Bluebellflora I do not know where the game is installed, where can I find it?
MacOS Catalina, version 10.15.3 - Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+@Mettekroken
As I mentioned above in Origin - Please check the install location in Origin too by going to Origin > Preferences > Installs & Saves. You can see the install location under Game Library Location. - 6 years ago@Bluebellflora It’s in norwegian so i couldn’t find it at first, but I think I found it now. It says «on your computer» «users/mettekroken/applications».

Good, so it's in the correct location in your Applications Folder. Open a Finder window and click on your home folder (the little house with your name next to it) in the sidebar. Then open the Applications folder. Your Sims 4 app will be in there, double click to try and open it. - 6 years ago@Bluebellflora It opens. But the game is still like a new one.

Great! So it's just the shortcut in the Dock that's broken, you can remove it - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh35859/mac
Now, click on your saves folder once to select it, the one that actually contains your saves, then go to File > Get Info. Under the General > Where section near the top of the info window please copy and paste the location of your saves folder here.

Ok. Open your Documents folder and you should have another Electronic Arts folder and within that a Sims 4 folder. In that Sims 4 folder will be a saves folder which should be empty. Move your most recently dated save from the EA > TS4 > saves folder on your desktop to the same location in the new saves folder then launch your game. - 6 years ago@Bluebellflora It worked! All my content is back🙂 Thank you so much for being patient and helping me!
