Make sure that the saves and mods you want to load in your game are in users > your user account > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and not in the other Documents folder you created.
The User Documents folder is in your Home folder. This Apple page may help https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1143/mac

Thank you so much 🙂 just found the correct documents folder. However my mods file is empty in it and there is no saves file. If I move those from the incorrect one I have been using will it cause issues or not work?

And afterwards should I delete the incorrect one or rename and move it?

All was going well, transferred saves over successfully and thought I had transferred the mods over too but they aren't there. I thought maybe I just put them in the incorrect place but searching for them I cant find them at all.

Great! Now you have it sorted, I’m going to split these posts out into a separate thread so as not to distract from the iCloud topic 🙂
