my game keeps crashing on macOS Catalina

hi i recently downloaded sims4 again on my mac i have mac os catalina 10.15.2 i don't know what im doing or where to post this.

my issue is that every time i try to play sims 4 it loads perfectly fine but it freezes within 2 mins- 10 mins no matter what I'm doing if I'm on live mode or building mode please help i really don't know what to do i just wanna play it shouldn't be this difficult. if this can't be fixed i might just have to focus on animal crossing ☹️
