My game keeps deleting my progress
I switched to a new Mac recently, logged in with my old EA account, and redownloaded origin and the sims, but once I opened the game all my previous saves had gone missing. I tried to fix it by doing...
You've managed to duplicate a ton of save files. The game will only load saves that end in .save directly after eight numbers/letters, like this:
Slot_00000002.save
Yours have extra numbers where you have merged and copied files, like this:
Slot_00000002 2.save
Remove the spaces and additional numbers and the saves will load.
The files ending .ver1 are back up files.
Screenshots are really helpful - thanks! Next time you post Finder screenshots it's much easier to read if they are in list order please, preferably with the file path showing at the bottom of the Finder window 🙂
