My Sims 4 game won't save and the game itself won't tell me

My sims 4 games haven't been saving ever since the last mac and/or origin update. There have been no error codes or warnings that nothing is saving, and I've made sure that I'm saving the game 2-3 times. All of my paid packages are still there, but the game resets itself to the beginning of the game where you are automatically launched into "create a sim." Is anyone else having this problem? If so, is it my Mac or my game that is to blame, and what could I do? Thanks for any help given.

I actually figured out the problem for anyone on a Mac, and you have to go into your "Electronic Arts" folder in "Documents" in "Finder" and make sure that the game is downloaded, because it make have been saved in ICloud after the last Mac update. Hope this helps.

    Additional explanation by @Noir_Jackal:

I went to the "Electronic Arts" folder located in documents, opened it, right clicked on "The Sims 4" folder and chose "Download Now". My old saved games were available to open when I started Sims 4 after that. Worked like a charm.

but when i right click on my sims 4 folder it doesn't give me the download now option

  • Same here, I was hoping that would be the fix but the download now option doesn’t populate.

  • I'm so confused I moved it to my download folder (out of my iCloud folder)but I still can't find any saves.

Edit: They came back after a while lol

Start a new thread detailing your issue and also the exact model Mac you have including which version of macOS you are running. The more info you provide about the problems you're having, the easier it is for people to help you.

This thread is over a year old and a mixture of issues so locking.
