Re: Can someone help me? NO EA FOLDER

@Queeneson

First, read this guide: https://bluebellflora.com/itsaprilxds-how-to-install-mods-on-a-mac-guide-the-sim-4/

Make sure that you've put them all in correctly and unzipped them.

If they still do not show up, check here: https://bluebellflora.com/2018/01/07/sims-4-cc-and-mods-not-showing-up-in-game/

If they still do not show upl, please post again and I'll see what we can do :D

Just to be clear, you never have to reinstall the game for this kind of issue, the game files and the user files (mods) are not in the same place, the user files are still the same after reinstalling.

    @CMeki I have unfortunately read these articles, and had no luck! Thanks for letting me know about reinstalling the game. Someone suggested it to me so I thought it would help. I make sure all of my files end in .package when I place them in the mods folder. I also don't use iCloud for any of my documents or folders so I know that can't be the issue either.

    Okay. lets try this. Open the game, go to Game Options > Screen Capture, and then copy or take a screenshot of the file patch for saving screenshots. Paste it in an answer here, just so I can have some real info on what your game is doing. Also take a screenshot of your mods folder and post it here 🙂

    @Queeneson

    Are you 100 % sure your folder is in the right location? Looks like Desktop is "selected", not Documents?

    Also, as it seems like you have hairs. Are you sure that you got the mesh file and not just a recolor?

    Please try with a cc that you're sure have both mesh and texture 🙂

    @CMeki I keep trying with different cc categories like hair, makeup, clothing, and unless I'm just not getting any of the right ones somehow, nothing is still showing up 😞

    @CMeki is absolutely right in suspecting your folder is in the wrong location - it is!

    For some reason your Documents folder is on your Desktop when it should be inside your home folder. But I'm also concerned that the Documents folder showing in the file path is not the user one as it does not have the same icon as the Desktop folder. Can you please open a new Finder window, click on Finder > Preferences in the menu bar then Sidebar in the Finder Preferences window that pops up. Make sure that your home folder, the one with the house icon, is checked. Now go back to your Finder window and click on the home folder in the sidebar. Please screenshot what shows up and post it here 🙂

    Edit - this is the correct file path:

    Hi @Bluebellflora I did what you said, and it beforehand it had said I had two EA folders. So I deleted the desktop one, followed your instructions, and tested out a mod and it finally showed up in my game! Thank you so so much!!
