I have the latest Big Sur 11.1 update on my MacBook and I don't have the Legacy Version of the sims I just have the normal version.

Could you please attach the Config.log file to a post here. You can find it in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
Have you tried the Origin reset tool? https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
