When you get your new apple computer can you try it and then tell us if it works? :D
- @coxda1990 Please do post about your experience and tag the gurus and “game changers” so the masses can find it! I’m very interested in getting the new MBA.
Yes please tell us if it works!
I've got the the M1 macbook air today and thought id have a go on simcity although when trying to download the origin client is says they dont support the operating system and to download the old version, after doing this the Big Sur says it cant run 32-bit applications!

@PsyBeesley You can try this
This post had good feedback in that thread. It might help you download a compatible Origin client.

I think I’ll be receiving my new MacBook Pro tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted.
I just got the MacBook Pro with M1, sims 4 keeps crashing for some reason.
- @PsyBeesley
Here's the direct link to download Origin https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/download - @Bluebellflora Thanks, I tried the nosound thing in Origins and then offline. No crashing.

That's really great to know that it's working. If you have a minute after playing it would be great to know how the performance is 🙂 - @Academicalili It works very good though 😉
I just got the MacBook Air 2020 with the M1 chip, tried downloading origin but its saying that the system that I'm on isn't supported. Is anyone else having this issue? It won't let me download anything, and won't let me open the Sims 4.
@sadaedae I’m having this same issue! I was so excited to play with higher graphics settings and I can’t even figure out origin haha.
- @sadaedae yes im having the same issue!
Just quick feedback, everything is working fine, smoothly, and perfectly, with resolutions all high and no laptop model. My only problem is the sound is a little burst, with noises and a little static and is not related to the laptop because I tested it with tv shows, movies, music, and youtube, so I guess is something with the game.
Yeah! I have been trying to download origin and have not been successful yet, and it is really frustrating me. Have you been able to figure it out yet??
- coxda19905 years agoNew Rookie@SlayerboyM88 I've loaded the game up and everything looks like it is working fine. The game music on the loading screen cracks a little, but I turned down my volume and that helps. I also for fun set my game graphics to ultra, and it was running really smoothly, which I'm super excited about. I'm about to jump into the game now and do some real playing. If anything messes up or doesn't go well I'll come back and let you know.
- coxda19905 years agoNew Rookie@1directionerhlz I had a lot of issue downloading it as well.
I will download it now on my MacBook Air M1
I will let you know if it works.
I got the new m1 MacBook Pro and it is consistently crashing and I can’t really do anything about it :/
- @1directionerhlz
Try downloading from https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/download using Safari or Firefox. Chrome seems to have an issue with recognising macOS 11 instead of 10.x Hello,
I have the same problem, soooooo fkn annoying
THANK YOU !!!!!
