Sims 4 - crash to desktop on travel

Hi,

I have the Sims 4 Digital Deluxe edition + a few expansion packs (Cats & Dogs, Get to Work and Seasons).

A few months ago I noticed that anytime I tried to travel anywhere or plan my outfit, my game crashes to desktop - this is especially annoying as I'm part way through a task on Seasons which requires me to travel.

I have mods downloaded and although they hadn't been causing problems when I played the day before, I tried removing them via the 50:50 method and eventually removed the whole folder but the game still crashes regardless.

Today I tried disabling mods completely and at first this seemed to fix the problem, however my game is again still crashing when i try to travel or plan outfits.

Throughout this issue I have had to download the Sims Legacy edition, however the problem above occurred prior to downloading this. I have tried reinstalling the game, moving the file to desktop and using Origin's repair option however the problem still occurs and I am not sure what else I can do.

My Mac specifications are:

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011)

Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

I only have 86gb of storage left and I don't know whether this is contributing to the problem, but I'm confused as one day my game was running completely fine with no issues and the next, I haven't been able to play without crashing since.

I can post the lastcrash.txt file if needed, however I'm not sure whether this is any help?

If anyone has any suggestions they would greatly appreciated as I just want to play the game with my family again!

Thanks!

Never a bad idea to post the last crash file 🙂

Which version of macOS are you running?

Can you move the Mods folder to the desktop, trash the localthumbcache.package, repair the game then see how it is?

Hi @Bluebellflora, the operating system on my Mac is High Sierra 10.13.6 and the lastcrast.txt file is as below:

This was after moving the whole mods folder to desktop and deleting the localthumbcache and cache files!
