sims 4 cc won't show up, tried everything

i've been having an issue with my custom content and my mods. they were working fine, and then one time i tried to open up the game and the load game button disappeared, none of my cc was showing up, and so far nothing i've tried has worked. this is what i tried so far:

- repaired the game on origin

- deleted all my old cc and reinstalled new content

- uninstalled and reinstalled the game

- moved my sims 4 folder to desktop, renamed it and waited for it to generate a new one (never did)

- enabled custom content and script mods, exited the game and restarted it (didn't work)

- deleted options. ini and resource.cfg and localthumbcache

i'm not sure if i was supposed to delete that last one, but is there any way to somehow fix this? or create a new sims or EA folder? i feel like i might've messed with the game folder and there's no way to restore it (that i know of) pls help !!

Thanks. That shows that the Mods folder the game is using (the one in bold in my previous post) is empty. Your Mods must be in one of the other Mods folders, on your desktop. Move them over to the one in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and they should load.

    @xavibuilds

    /Users/mariamzacca/Desktop/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
    /Users/mariamzacca/Desktop/clutter/ts42/Mods
    /Users/mariamzacca/Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Mods
    /Users/mariamzacca/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods

The one in bold shows the Mods folder where your CC/Mods should be.

Ignore the Sims 4 Studio one.

The other two are on your desktop. If your CC/Mods are in one of those two Mods folders you need to move them into the one in bold.

If they are in the one in bold and still not showing in the game, please paste this into Terminal, hit return and paste the results here. This is showing the contents of the Mods folder (the one above in bold):

    ls -l /Users/mariamzacca/Documents/Electronic\ Arts/The\ Sims\ 4/Mods

I don't know why you have a Documents folder on the desktop but your game is not looking there for your saves and mods.

The game looks for saves, game settings, Mods etc. in this location:

    /Users/mariamzacca/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

In your Finder sidebar you should see a Documents folder. it is that Documents folder that is in the file path above and where the Mods folder is that you should put your Mods in.

I'm not really sure how I can make it any clearer ☹️
