Sims 4 Freezes (Mac)

Hello, I am having trouble playing sims 4 on my MacBook. I am able to log into the game but it freezes and lags all the time and I have to completely shut down my laptop to get out of the game. It usually happens when I am creating the sim but sometimes if I am very careful when clicking on things I can load up the game but even in game it will randomly freeze causing me to have to shut my laptop again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple time and still no change. Please help!
