Sims 4 Game Pack Issue

I've had the Sims 4 for over 4 years now, and I've had my experiences of issues, and I've always managed to get rid of them. But this time, I have one that's really frustrating me. One day I just randomly saw my 'The Sims 4 Packs' folder on my desktop. I opened my game to play, and it popped up with the "Game Data Incomplete" message. I tried to load one of the worlds and then came the "error: failed to load" popup. It continued to come and go, and now Origin keeps saying under the packs 'Add to Queue' and I've just been redownloading and redownloading. Does anyone know how to fix this issue for a Mac and how to get the packs to work properly?

The Sims 4 Packs folder is all your DLC and should be in the same location as the game is installed to, normally the User > Applications folder. Move it to the correct location and see if the game loads properly.
  • I am having a similar problem on my MacBook Pro and it's weird to me, because I was able to play the game as normal before with no problems over the past couple of months. It just keeps re-downloading the same expansion packs every time I re-open origin and it's really frustrating, because I'm unable to play the game.

Please see my comment above regarding the Sims 4 Packs folder. If it is not in the same location as the Sims 4 app, Origin will keep trying to download your DLC.
